The Town of Cheverly, which abuts Cheverly West, was recently named the “best community in the Washington, D.C. area” by a local radio station and "one of the best places to live in the Washington DC area" by Washington Magazine. One Cheverly Resident, Sherry Taylor, 35, termed Cheverly “a great place to live, and one of those old time communities that you grew up in and you hope your kids grow up in too,” and a place where people “talk to one another and care about their neighbors.” Cheverly is a diverse town with an interesting history, strong schools, active, involved places of worship, and a wide variety of community and volunteer groups.
